Designed to protect equipment from unacceptable pressure by releasing excess working fluid, ensures cessation of discharge at closing pressure and restoration of working pressure.
The relief valve ensures tightness in the gate at the setting pressure (operating pressure).
The valve is adjusted so that the specified valve capacity is achieved at full opening pressure.
